Over 30 years ago, Bonaire set up one of the first marine parks in the Caribbean to preserve the underwater world around the island. With 86 dive sites in the marine park, most accessible from shore, it is home to over 57 species of soft and stony coral and more than 350 recorded fish species. Many scuba divers are drawn to Bonaire for its uncrowded dive sites and the island's endless opportunities for discovery, exploration and unspoiled nature.
